I have always been a very active person. I grew up playing sports and "working out" at the gym, which was mostly isolated movements in the mirror in between water breaks! I worked in construction until moving to Alaska in 2008 when I found myself at a desk on a computer with not a lot of 'fitness'. I was introduced to CrossFit back in 2013 in Soldotna, Alaska. I tried one class and it kicked my butt. A few months later I was hooked and have been doing CrossFit ever since. I moved back to Prescott in 2014, got my Level 1, and immediately started coaching at CrossFit Prescott Valley where my sister and brother-in-law had just opened! Fast forward a few years and I meet my wife Irene and then two years after that (2020) we buy the gym from Laura and Kevin.
The positive impacts CrossFit has had on my life started on day 1 of my first class in Alaska. I remember thinking, I wish CrossFit was around when I was in school. There is something special about the CrossFit community that supports you through your challenges and celebrates your accomplishments. CrossFit is hard but the reward is great!
Coaching at CrossFit Prescott Valley is a very fun and rewarding career. Watching someone do something new or something they never thought they could do is super exciting and it's something that happens every day at the gym. I am so excited to be a part of this, CrossFit is changing people's lives and it's so fun to see!
